The ability to meet a wide variety of customer expectations and often even exceed them – thus building confidence – this is Allgemeine’s most important resource.
Allgemeine is structured in such a way as to cater for the needs of each individual customer. Modern data processing systems ensure fast, secure and transparent data flow.
Allgemeine has a core of over 300 employees, many of them highly specialised, working in teams focused on efficiency for our customers, whether in sales, production or administration.
The company ensures the future of its workforce through goal-oriented apprenticeship schemes. Allgemeine has a modern quality management system, certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004.
Allgemeine's laboratories guarantee comprehensive quality assurance for a full analysis and characterisation of materials for all the precious metal alloys we produce.
The precious metal contents of samples taken from homogenised refining materials are analysed in our chemical laboratories using fire assaying techniques as well as wet-chemical and spectral analysis procedures.
The high degree of skill and sophistication demonstrated by our laboratories and their participation in national and international committees such as the DIN-Normenausschuss Schmuck (German Standards Committee for Jewellery) and GDMB-Chemikerausschuss (Chemistry Committee of the German Mining and Metallurgy Society) mean they are always at the forefront of modern materials analysis.
Allgemeine's laboratories have also successfully completed the accreditation process according to DIN EN ISO 17025. With their competence in testing and assaying methods, Allgemeine has proven to comply to the international standards for the certification of base material for precious metal semi-finished products for certified and hallmarked precious metal products. This certificate is especially important for buyers of precious metal semi-finished products who are themselves located - or have customers - in Switzerland or France. With the Allgemeine certificate according to DIN EN ISO 17025 this group of customers profits from substantial simplifications when importing semi-finished products made of gold, silver, platinum or palladium alloys into these countries.
Allgemeine's certificates for precious metal alloys bear the internationally recognized ILAC-MRA-logo along with the logo of the German DACH association. ILAC-MRA stands for International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - Mutual Recognition Arrangement.
