Allgemeine‘s production processes are based on high-performance continuous-casting technology. Perfect melting combined with forming techniques carefully chosen to suit both size and application produce semi-finished products that are right for job every time. The result is extremely homogeneous materials with low gas content, free of cavities and bubbles, and with excellent forming properties.
Besides the chemical composition, these properties largely result from cold working and annealing. When a soft material is formed, e.g. by rolling or drawing, the tensile strength increases parallel to the degree of deformation. Hardness and elastic limits behave similarly.
